GPSat Systems Aust is a sole purpose satellite navigation engineering business delivering innovative satellite navigation equipment, system solutions and technical services to regional markets since 1993.

As the sole regional distributor for both NovAtel Inc precision GPS/GNSS Receivers and Spirent Communications GNSS Simulation equipment, the company is an industry leader in providing quality engineered solutions to defence and industrial satellite navigation applications.

Supported by a dedicated team of engineers with broad multidisciplinary skills in electronics, software, geomatics and communication engineering to name a few, our customers are always guaranteed the highest levels of technical support and professional competency. Continuous Research & Development for future products are an ongoing integral part of the company's present and future objectives.

Quality, integrity and best commercial practices are the primary focus as the company works towards initial ISO9000 certification in 2009.

Our Research And Product Development..

Our ongoing research and product development is inspired by the desire to produce positive outcomes for both our customers and the environment. Improvements in efficiency and profitability translate directly to reduce impacts on the environment.

The benefits to our customers are twofold, these being, direct access to innovative products specifically tailored for industrial applications and ready access to a dedicated team of professional engineers who actually design and develop around the products they sell. Unlike other “retail only” companies in the GNSS industry, GPSat Systems staff have intimate developers knowledge of the NovAtel and Spirent product range and are thus able to deliver the highest levels of technical support demanded by modern industry.

Our current R&D activities include;

• GEMS – GNSS Environment Monitoring System. State of the art 24/7 predictive fault and failure monitoring of GNSS infrastructure for critical industrial applications (AusIndustry sponsored via grant).

• DMS – Deformation Monitoring System. The use of low cost L1 only GPS Receivers utilising precise Carrier Phase measurement providing precise 2 centimetre relative positioning. (AusIndustry sponsored via grant).

• P-GVS – Prototype Ground VHF Station. Ground equipment for potential use in future Groundbased Regional Augmentation Systems currently being developed by AirServices Australia.
